University of the Third Age in Cambridge (U3AC)

New website and course booking platform for members

U3AC is a self-financing independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) founded in 1982. It is managed by its members who, supported by office staff, organise educational, social and fitness activities for anyone who is not in full-time employment.

U3AC required a fresh new digital presence which was intuitive, easy to maintain, and seamlessly integrated with their member and course management platform.

We’ve had some very positive feedback about our new website, so many thanks to your team for your help!

We modernised the brand identity and developed an aspirational supporting strap line to clearly illustrate the proposition and benefits of membership.

UI design

The new design strikes a nice balance between a professional and educational look and feel, mixed with a little fun and creativity. This helps to deliver a trustworthy story whilst maintaining excitement and interest to get involved. Perfect for U3AC’s proposition.

Bespoke member platform integration

We integrated the site with U3AC’s existing bespoke membership management platform provided by Cambridge Software, to offer a seamless experience for booking courses and events.

To mitigate the risks of working with 3rd parties, we prioritised the integration development and started working with Cambridge Software right at the beginning of the project.

User experience

To help overcome historical navigation problems, we carefully planned the new site structure and focused on simplifying the deep architecture.

We embraced free tools like Google Maps to help deliver a great user experience for users and improve the administration process of event management.
