Website development and integration for travel trade membership association
We launched a brand new website for leading trade membership association, UKinbound who represent 400 inbound tourism businesses across the UK (including several in the Cambridge area).
Alongside the now standard features of a responsive user-focused and search optimised site, the core website features include; a members only area with unique content, permissions-based content creation, and user management; a multi-step membership application process with back-office automation; and integration with their ACT Cloud CRM for membership and profile management.
User centred approach
After a competitive pitch process we were appointed to undertake the design, build and CRM integration project, winning the trade association over with our user centred approach, membership website experience and vision for a modern, accessible and intuitive site for all users.
Our unique planning process uncovered several key details about the types of users, most importantly the varying needs of their members, and how they can have diverse motivations for visiting the site and shouldn’t all be treated the same.
A user story mapping process enables us to map user needs with website features and business objectives.
